Don’t let Year 13 start with Year 12 gaps.
Help your child begin September confident, prepared, and ready for the biggest year of A Level Maths.
Live online, 17th to 28th August
Every September I see the same thing…
Many students finish Year 12 feeling relieved that they can finally have a break. After working hard all year, they deserve one.
The problem is that Year 13 doesn’t slow down to give them time to catch up.
Within the first few weeks, students are expected to build on everything they learned in Year 12 while learning some of the most challenging topics in the A Level Maths course. If there are gaps in their understanding, or if they’ve simply forgotten key methods over the summer, those gaps can quickly become bigger.
For some students, September also brings Year 12 resits or early assessments. Many schools use these to measure progress, and some may take them into account when reviewing predicted grades. Starting September well prepared can therefore make a real difference.
That’s why spending just two weeks refreshing the most important Year 12 topics before school starts can have such a big impact on confidence and progress throughout Year 13.
Why August?
August is the best opportunity students have to strengthen their Year 12 foundations.
During the school year, there is very little time to revisit Year 12 properly. Lessons move quickly, homework focuses on new content, and students often find themselves trying to learn new topics while still struggling with old ones.
August is different.
Without the pressure of school, students have the time and headspace to strengthen the foundations that Year 13 depends on. It’s also the ideal time to prepare for September resits or early assessments, while making sure they return to school feeling confident instead of trying to catch up from the very first lesson.
This two week course has been carefully designed to make the most of that opportunity. Students revisit the topics that matter most, practise carefully selected exam questions, and begin Year 13 with greater confidence and a much stronger foundation.
By the end of the course, your child will…
✓ Start Year 13 with greater confidence instead of worrying about forgotten topics.
✓ Strengthen the key Year 12 foundations that Year 13 lessons build upon.
✓ Identify and fill any gaps before they become bigger problems during the school year.
✓ Improve exam technique by practising carefully selected A Level exam questions with full guidance and solutions.
✓ Develop a clearer understanding of the topics students often find most challenging at the start of Year 13.
✓ Return to school with a structured plan and the confidence to keep making progress throughout the year.

TESTIMONIALS
Arancha is just not an excellent teacher but a brilliant person who goes above and beyond her call for duty as a Maths tutor.
We have had few tutors (for different subjects), but no-one has ever maintained communication the way Arancha does. She kept us informed about our child’s progress and motivated our son. Most importantly the personal attention and touches (for example sending “All the best” cards, “motivating text messages” etc.) that Arancha brings is second to none.
With her help our son gained the confidence to strive for an A* in maths. We would definitely recommend hiring Arancha (Better Your Maths) as a Maths tutor to anyone who is looking to improve their child’s maths.
Ms. Arancha has been very effective in helping me over A Level Maths.
I have jumped from Bs in Year 12 to an A* in the final exams. Not only did she provide me with many lessons for learning and homework to aid with practice, but she also was very open and supportive when I had any questions in a topic – doing her best to always maintain communication with students and parents.
I couldn’t be where I am in maths without her support and for this, I highly recommend Ms. Arancha as a tutor to anyone wishing to succeed in A-Level Maths.
