Why many students struggle with revision
When students have a week or two available for revision, they often intend to cover a lot of material.
However, without a clear plan it is difficult to organise that time effectively.
Many students end up:
• Spending too long on some topics while neglecting others
• Watching explanation videos without practising enough questions
• Jumping between topics without a clear structure
• Reaching the end of the week feeling they did not revise as much as they intended
Effective revision requires structure and a clear focus for each study session.
This revision week provides that structure, helping students move through the key topics step by step while practising a large number of exam style questions.
Topics covered during the revision week
Day 1
Functions, graphs and transformations
Day 2
Trigonometry
Day 3
Exponentials and logarithms
Day 4
Differentiation
Day 5
Integration
Day 6
Forces and motion
Day 7
Hypothesis testing
Day 8
Live Q&A
These topics appear regularly in A Level Maths exams and many students find them challenging, which is why they are particularly useful to revise before exams.
How the revision week works
Students receive one topic per day.
Each topic includes:
✔ A masterclass explaining the topic
✔ An exam practice booklet with exam questions
The masterclasses are pre recorded, so students can watch them at a convenient time during the day and pause or replay explanations if needed.
Students follow a simple routine:
1. Watch the masterclass
Clear explanation of the key ideas.
2. Complete the booklet questions
Students practise applying the method.
3. Submit any questions they would like help with
We will discuss them in the live Q&A session.
Live exam question session
At the end of the revision week we will meet live to work through exam style questions from the topics covered during the week.
Students are invited to submit questions in advance. These questions can come from the revision booklets or from other exam questions related to the same topics.
During the session we will:
• Work through selected student questions
• Review common difficulties within the topics
• Solve additional exam style questions
If there is not enough time to cover every question during the session, I will record a short video explanation for them.
The aim of this session is to reinforce the key ideas from the week and give students the opportunity to see additional exam questions solved step by step.
